This belt-mounted series/parallel unit can be used to connect two V-Mount batteries in series; it produces an output voltage equal to the sum of the two batteries' individual voltages, for applications such as powering 30V lighting or microwave links. Li-Ion V-Mount camera batteries are typically rated at 14.8V. The batteries you use must be designed for series connection, such as PAGlink batteries or the PAG L96 range of batteries; they must be of the same cell-chemistry, voltage and capacity and they must be in the same state of charge. Switching to parallel mode produces a capacity equal to the sum of the two batteries' individual capacities (up to 14Ah), for extended equipment run-time. Output is via an XLR4 connector, designed for 30V use.
