Draper Offers New AV Classes For CTS Renewal Units

Dec. 16, 2020 - As the end of the year approaches, many professionals are looking for continuing education credits to renew various certifications. In the AV world, that means Renewal Units for CTS certification from AVIXA.

Draper® is one of many manufacturers who provide continuing education course for AV professionals. We now have four new classes available for in-person or virtual presentation.

Acumen Projection Screens

This course covers the Acumen family of projection screens by Draper. Learn about the industry-unique features of this series of products. Features and benefits of each Acumen version are discussed, along with power and control options. Available viewing surface materials and how to properly select the correct surface for particular projection environments are also included. This course earns 0.5 RUs.

Foundation™-the Bedrock of LED Installation

In this course participants learn about the Draper Foundation™ Mount for LED. Go behind the screens to see how the Foundation was designed specifically with installers in mind. We’ll cover features and benefits, applications, optional trim, and quotes and shipping. This course earns 0.5 RUs.

LED Technology and Support Structures

Light Emitting Displays (LED) are quickly gaining ground in architectural AV. LED lasts longer than other technologies; is brighter; is modular in nature; and seamless. This course will introduce the learners to LED technology and discuss the elements of a proper support structure, including the need for precise manufacturing, fine adjustment in X, Y, and Z axes, and modularity to support any size video wall. This course earns 1 RU.

Present an Experience

There are many variables to consider in selecting or specifying a projection screen. In previous years, the same white projection screen material would be specified in nearly all situations. Today’s screen technology has created solutions to address issues in each individual projection environment. This class provides an understanding of the issues affecting projected light, and solutions for dealing with them. This course earns 1 RU.

All of the above courses are available for in-person or virtual presentation. To learn more, click here to contact your Draper regional sales manager.
