Helping Stereopsia to immerse visitors into the magical world of VR

On 12 and 13 December, the Stereopsia conference will bring the magical world of virtual and augmented reality to Brussels, for the ninth consecutive year. And when you hear the words VR and AR – or: immersion – you do think of Barco, right? We’ll be proud to attend Stereopsia to highlight how we help our customers benefit from the cutting edge of VR, AR and mixed reality.
VR from A to Z
From 3D display walls and caves through to VR projectors: Barco is known for its innovative products that cover a wide range of VR applications. Our solutions help businesses, research centers and academic institutes to benefit from faster and smoother product development, easier collaboration and rapid business and scientific insights. To highlight our expertise in the field of VR, two of our Barco colleagues will explain the latest concepts in 3D during a keynote at the popular Stereopsia conference.
The Oscars of VR and 3D cinema
Initially called 3D Stereo MEDIA, this international Stereopsia show is organized in close collaboration with the Hollywood-based Advanced Imaging Society & VR Society – which is chaired by Wim Buyens, our Senior VP Entertainment. So, apart from hosting presentations and training courses from world leaders on the topics of VR and immersion, the conference will conclude with an awards dinner, where the Lumiere Awards, also known as the ‘Oscars of VR and 3D cinema’, will be presented. Film icons such as Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg and Ang Lee are among past recipients. Barco will be presenting its own special award to a lucky recipient at the event.
